What's Changed:

• Student Requirement Removed: Dependents no longer need to be full-time students to maintain coverage

• Age Limit Increased: Dependent coverage now extends to age 26 (coverage ends at the end of the month when dependent turns 26)

IMMEDIATE ACTION REQUIRED:

1. Review your current family status and determine if these changes affect your coverage

2. Contact payroll immediately if you need to add or remove dependents due to these changes

3. Monitor your premium deductions to ensure they reflect your current family situation

SPECIAL RE-ENROLLMENT OPPORTUNITY - DENTAL COVERAGE Deadline: September 30, 2025

If you previously had dependents who lost coverage due to the old age limits, you may re-enroll them effective September 1, 2025.

⚠️ IMPORTANT: You must complete re-enrollment by September 30, 2025. Late enrollments after this date will be subject to a first-year penalty maximum of $750.

COVERAGE DETAILS

Dental & Vision Coverage Eligibility:

• Biological children, stepchildren, adopted children, and foster children

• Coverage until age 26 (ends at the end of the month when dependent turns 26)

• Exception: No age limit for disabled dependents (documentation required annually)

Special Dental Benefit: Dependent orthodontic benefits are provided if appliances are in place before the dependent's 19th birthday. See Dental Summary for details.

Your Benefits Fund coverage provides a life insurance policy through Mutual of Omaha for each of its members.  Members need to re-certify your beneficiaries every 5 years.
